Why is some solar powered garden lamp no work after installation?
Sometime, we might find that some solar powered garden lamp would suddenly no work after some period utilization. At this time, firstly we need check the indicator reflection of controller, to check its indicator state and then to adjust where is the problem. If both of two indicators are not work, the controller might have broken, maybe the system has been impacted by strong current, such as being struck by lightning or short-circuit.
Some reason might cause solar powered garden lamp not to work.
1. The damage of lighting source.
The lighting source of solar powered garden lamp has been damaged because of man-made or natural reasons, which would cause solar powered garden lighting system not to work, some time to light and sometime not to light or twinkle, etc.
Solution: Check the lighting source or Change it.
2. The damage of solar panel.
Use multimeter to test the voltage of solar panel under no any loads connecting solar panel situation, usually, the voltage of solar lighting system is DC12V, its actual voltage might be higher than DC12V, because the battery can be charged only if the voltage of solar panel is higher than DC12V. The battery can’t be charged if the voltage of solar panel is lower DC12V, then the solar lighting system can’t work or the lamp can’t light long time.
Solution: Change the solar panel.
3. The reverse connection of solar panel.
The solar powered garden lamp just works one time after finishing installation, it would be never lighting after the power of battery running up.
Solution: Adjust to correctly connect poles (positive and negative) of solar panel.
4. The battery has been broken.
Under no any loads connecting with battery, to inspect its voltage by multimeter, usually, the system working voltage of battery is DC12.8V, its actual voltage is higher than DC12.8V, because the battery can’t discharge if its voltage is lower DC12.8V, then the solar powered garden lighting system can’t work or just work short time.
Solution: At this moment, we need use an exterior charger to charge the battery, if the battery can’t be charged, then we need change a new battery.
Above is some possible reasons to cause solar powered garden lamp not to work, hope it would be helpful for most of customers.
